Kids on Social Media

Lately, while I am on Facebook these reels of videos/TikTok - whatever pop up and it is kids dancing or rating food.  I started to think about when I was a kid.  There is no way my parents would video me eating food and have me rate it from one to ten, it just wouldn't happen.  Me being me, I try to find the positive.  One thing I can say is that the little girl I have seen a few times isn't afraid to try different foods and may encourage other kids to try them as well.  However, she speaks way too grown-up and you can tell she likes to be around adults just by the way she interacts with her mom and the screen.  I may sound old-fashioned but I hope that little girl plays outside, and interacts with other kids her age in person.  I have said it before and I will say it again, these screens are taking over.  It is cool if kids want to make videos and play around on the screen but I hope they experience life outside of that screen with kids their own age.  We are losing the art of engaging in conversations.  Be BOLD!  Less screentime more living!
